The Bistro at Le Moulin
We serve a wide range of delicious home cooked dishes all made using local produce, in our on site Bistro. The Bistro is open all year to guests and visitors, and heated by a log fire in winter so you can sit around a roaring fire while enjoying a glass of wine and a chat.
We serve:
- Continental and full English breakfasts. (A Continental breakfast is included for Bed & Breakfast Guests)
- Light lunches.
- A wide selection of multi-course evening meals.
- BBQ Evenings and special theme nights, such as Fish and Chip night!
All our evening meals are accompanied by complementary wine and beer, and a selection of teas and coffees are available.
We at Le Moulin strongly believe that our vegetarian customers should have an equally delicious selection of recipes to choose from, so forget quiche and mushroom omelettes - we have a full range of vegetarian menus available. There is a sample of some of our vegetarian menus below.
Special Theme nights
Most weeks at Le Moulin we hold a special theme night, with food and entertainment. Some nights we have run in the past include:

Sample Menus
Menu 1
- Home made tomato and red pepper soup.
- Poached salmon topped with a soy, honey and ginger dressing.
- Dauphinois potatoes and a selection of fresh garden vegetables.
- Tarte pomme - pastry case filled with mascaphone cheese and crème fresh topped with sliced apple and caramel or fresh fruit salad.
- Coffee and home made Chocolates.
Menu 2
- Homemade French onion soup floated with a melted cheese toast.
- Roast pork loin stuffed with locally grown prunes.
- Roast potatoes and fresh garden vegetables.
- Pears almondine - pears poached in red wine topped with creme and toasted almonds or lemon meringue pie served with cream or ice cream.
- Coffee and home made Chocolates.
Gourmet Menu 1
- Steamed mussels served in a white wine, garlic, herb and cream sauce.
- Maigret Of Duck - Pan fried marinated breast of duck served with rosemary and garlic potatoes and fresh garden vegetables.
- Crepes a l'orange - soaked in an orange liqueur served warm with fresh orange segments, honey and cream.
- Cheeseboard - selection of local cheeses served with crusty bread.

Gourmet Menu 2
- Crevettes pan fried in pink garlic butter.
- Roast leg of lamb with fresh mint.
- Roast potatoes and fresh garden vegetables.
- Apricots preserved in Armagnac topped with vanilla cream and toasted almonds.
- Cheeseboard - selection of local cheeses served with crusty bread.
- Coffee and home made Chocolates.
Vegetarian Sample Menu
Starters
- Marinaded aubergine with tomato, basil and mint.
- Avocado and lime salad.
- Herb potato cakes with a pesto dressing.
- Mushrooms sautéed in butter and pink garlic.
Main Courses
- Roast onions stuffed with cranberries, Roquefort cheese and our own grown walnuts.
- Aubergine stuffed with a green lentil chilli.
- Filo basket filled with green garden vegetables and bean sprouts, stir fried then topped with feta cheese and olives.
- Caramelised onion and walnut tart.
